Hello, I have an anthropological question and I thought someone here might know the answer. Is it true that native Ethiopian people are a branch of Caucasoid? I read that a while ago and I know they look different to people in West Africa, though they also look very different to Europeans and Middle Easterns. Does that mean the ancestors of the white Europeans came from Ethiopia?
I'm not entirely sure. I hope someone can answer your question soon.
That is not true.  Ethiopia is a country that has many ethnicity in it, therefore not every single ethnicity in Ethiopia is going to be Caucasian.  Although there are Africans that have European in their heritages, this does not mean all African lines do.
Just like although in the UK there are many people coming from the middle east, not everyone in the UK is middle eastern.
So by saying Ethiopian people, you are accounting for all the ethnicity of Ethiopia.  Are you referring to a specific one?
Sorry, I wasn't referring to a specific one because I'm not familiar with the cultures and ethnicity in Ethiopia at all. Now I understand it's more complex. What is the predominant ethnic group in Ethiopia?
This post may be old but I'll answer anyway! XD

Concerning what category Ethiopids fall under, they are Afro-Asiatic. But they are divided into two groups, with the first being the Semitic Habesha (e.g Amharic, Tigre, Tigray) and the other being the Hamitic Cushtic people (e.g Somali, Oromo, Afar).

Both groups are more related to people in Middle East and North Africa genetically and culturally than Niger-Congo/Bantu-like peoples unfortunately, so I hope the information I provided helps!
Any fluent Amharic speakers here? If so, how would you write the Amharic equivalent for "Eternal Enemies"?
I'll think about it, but the best I can do is a rough guess.
Anyone else got better ideas?
